Absolutely phenomenal service. Richard so wonderfully helped me do a minor skin level assessment for my sudden leakage from my car over the phone. Once I slogged my way to the shop, he immediately took a look and got right to diagnostics. I have a VERY tight budget and was stressing once I saw the invoice. Communicated with family member who is a car person and they chatted with Richard also. He extremely generously reduced the price, completely surprising. I’ll be driving by end of tomorrow again. I cannot thank this wonderful shop enough. I will be recommending them and having their business cards for my passengers to see and use if needed.

As a road warrior I expect the unexpected and hope to find people of integrity and skill to help me through the unexpected troubles when they occur. Nick’s OC Auto Service is where those people can be found and locals should consider themselves lucky to have such an auto service company near them. I was scheduled to head out of California on Saturday morning in the wee hours but Friday night while heading to a baseball game at the Great Park my water pump blew out. I slowly made my way to the OC Auto Service lot at 7:15 am Saturday morning, unfortunately they don’t open until 8 am but they could see I was in distress and need so they unlocked the doors early. I explained my situation and need to get on the road ASAP, telling them I knew it might take a couple of days but wanted to get repaired as soon as possible. Brandon and the mechanic in the shop said they would look at it right away. They quickly determined that it was the water pump and said they would try to get the parts and work on it immediately on Saturday. I had a great experience with this shop. I originally brought in my 2002 Ford Focus because of an oil leak. Given the age of the car, they were upfront and honest that the repair could potentially cost more than the vehicle was worth, so I decided not to move forward at that time. After buying a townhome, I didn’t want to risk leaving oil stains or causing issues in the community, so I brought the car back for a more thorough evaluation. The team took the time to investigate the problem further and determine whether the engine would need to be removed to make the repair. Fortunately, it didn’t, which significantly reduced the cost. I really appreciated their thoroughness, honesty, and willingness to do the extra work to properly diagnose the issue before giving me a final estimate. They kept me informed throughout the process and provided what I felt was a fair and reasonable price for the repair. It’s refreshing to find a shop that is transparent and focused on helping customers make informed decisions rather than simply selling the most expensive repair possible. Highly recommend.

This morning I had the unfortunate experience of having a screw in my tire in a day I could not afford to be late for work. Fortunately I discovered Nick's OC Auto Service. Brandon was understanding, helpful, and professional, and got me in and out of their quickly at a great price and I can go on with my day. I give this business my highest possible recommendation.
